I have to ask permission to do everything. Literally everything.
The core of the situation is that my dad does not want me going over to my best friend's house despite the fact that I have been there before and nothing bad has ever happened. Most of it is due to the fact that she has a brother and a dad, but I also suspect he may think I'm fast (which I am not). I want to go over to my friend's house because I want to hang out and I miss their family, but I know my dad will say no if I ask.
I'm thinking about just telling him I'm going to go and just going, but I'm nervous. I know I'm 18 and I'm legally an adult, but I'm scared of what he might do. Any advice would be appreciated. What could I say to him to convince him to stop being so overprotective?
