We are both young, 21, together for almost exactly 3 years. She loves me with all her heart and I love her too but its my first relationship so I make a lot of mistakes.
She has wanted me to propose to her since the first year we met. For her it was love at first sight, for me I had never been interested in someone before but did fall in love with her quickly. I always told her I needed more time and at this point, in her mind, its been long enough and I'm out of time.
The problem is I'm still living with my parents while attending college and she lives with her family a very short drive away so we do get to spend a lot of time together but we DO NOT live together. To me, this is an important part of a relationship and I believe you can love someone but until you live together you might still be unsure if this is the partner you should marry. This is actually causing a major problem in our relationship as I don't finish college for about another 8 months so probably wouldn't live together for 10-12 months. Looking for any and all opinions thanks.
Edit: Thanks for all the insight. I am reading and putting thought into all of your suggestions.
