This seems super complicated to me but I'm sure someone here can help me figure this out... Long story short my ex ghosted me when I told him I was pregnant. I sent him the photo about a week and a half ago. The first day he freaked out because I texted 'I wanted you to see before anyone else' and he was thinning I was making a big announcement. Then about 3 days later I stopped by the store he was working at (we work together but usually at different locations). He asked if we could talk, we went outside to talk for about an hour he apologized, we reminisced and he said he wants to open up communicating again. Since then we've talked every day, we hooked up once and we had a somewhat hard conversation about how he loves me and cares about me but doesn't know how to be with me....and now he just sends shallow stuff. Like tiktoks or short messages about how's your day. I'm confused and I don't know what to do. I want to be with him but I don't know how to move from this awkward feeling texting...We've called a couple times and it's a lot more genuine.
TL;DR how do I figure out a way to get closer to my ex when he's just sending shallow messages.
