I know it's hard when you have loved someone before addiction and watching them go through this is heartbreaking. But you have to think clearly,if a loved you he would seek help and therapy for his issues. He certainly would not abuse you mentally or physically. The grasp of addiction is a terrible road travelled and it hurts everyone involved along the way.

You have someone who cares and loves you and no matter the distance things can always be beautiful. Remember you need to be loved and taken care of as well.

I pray your ex can over come his troubles, but please think about you! You can only do so much for someone else then you need to stop.
