Never really written on here before so sorry if I'm doing it wrong. Just kinda had a quick question. So we're both 22. And we're coming up on our 1 year anniversary. This is a long distance relationship, met through a friend's girlfriend. And she's had a lot of shitty things happen in her life like her dad leaving early on, a not so good mom and family in general. She had POTS(Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) around 15 or 16 I can't remember until she was 19 I believe. Which made it hard for her to do things as well as Lyme Disease. She's had a lot of struggles and I love her, I love seeing her do her art and see her do things she loves and seeing her happy is everything to me. But I guess my question is about the fact that she still hasn't come out to where I live a year in. I try and I understand the anxiety that she has. But at this point it's not so much about that but more so that she isn't happy with where she's at in terms of school and a job. She wants to have a good first impression but she's talked with my family quite a few times now and I've told her she doesn't need to worry about that. As long as we're working on it together I don't care much about it! Guess I'm just wondering what people think about this. (She was also homeschooled and I don't think they did the greatest job from what she told me).

In my experience long distance relationships are doomed from the start.

I mean we get along really well haven't had any fights and love each other. I can get past the long distance cause that won't be permanent but just with a lot of her issues in the past and stuff it's hard to get her to visit and we're a year in.

Things will work out 💯 % All long distance ones can happen if one works hard. Good luck 🤞

I should also say she's had seizures in the past but that's gotten better and isn't much of a thing anymore. Caused by stress/anxiety.
