My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years. He has always had this “alpha” mentality where he thinks he is correct about everything or like he’s the wisest man on earth. He swears he’s a leader of some sort I don’t know why his ego is so big.
Anyway, this morning in the car I asked him if my face needed lotion he replied “yea on your chin” and I responded “where on my chin” and he rudely and yelling replied “on your chin! Just put it everywhere i don’t have to point it out”. I told him not to raise his voice at me cause it’s a simple question and he said I’m “in my feelings, stop b*tching”.
Another example is when I take a wrong turn when driving he goes off about how stupid that was and how can I be so “fried”. He says that in a rude manner that I dislike. I’m tired of him always trying to act like he’s teaching me a lesson, I do know that’s how his parents talked to him when he was younger, but I believe he shouldn’t be reflecting his childhood trauma on me. Is this worth breaking up over?
