I (24f) have been seeing a guy (32m) for a few weeks, we both seemed to fall fast for each other but things started to mellow out.
One night we were hanging out at his place, and without warning he put my phone of Do Not Disturb without telling. I left pretty soon after as I was meeting up with friends and realised pretty quickly thats why I wasn't getting any messages from them.
When I approached him about it and said it was 'intrusive' and that if he wanted my phone to not bother us he could've asked me. He claimed that this is a perfectly normal thing to do and the only reason he didn't mention it at the time was because he was busy paying attention to me. His response was a little assertive to the point of being aggressive.
I personally found this really disrespectful and ties into some issues I have with him not respecting my time as I work full time and he doesn't. I can be overly weary of controlling men and I cant tell if I am overreaction. Could this in some way be considered normal behaviour or is this just a red flag?
