As the title says, my girlfriend wants me to come home with her and finally come clean to her parents about our relationship. We’ve been keeping it a bit under wraps for a while now but she does not want to continue doing so. Normally I would not have any issue meeting my long term partners parents, but the thing is, I know her father. We worked together some years ago in the same company before I was laid off and we still keep in touch here and there to this day. I met her at one of his work parties and I would consider him a friend.
I don’t want to let her down and I want to make this work but I just don’t know how he will react when I come home with her. They know she is dating someone, and they are expecting to meet me, but I don’t know if I can go through with it. I’m at a loss to be completely honest. I suggested maybe a public place so he is less inclined to make a scene, he’s not really an aggressive guy but who knows. I’m just pretty nervous about it.
EDIT: Ok well it seems the trolls have come out from under their bridge tonight. Nothing but hurtful comments. If I were any wiser I would think a lot of you are jealous that I am dating a beautiful young lady, and wish you could do the same. Try being a nice person and maybe a young pretty lady will come your way too!
