And to think I was already wary of the fact that she was 20 and I was 24. My girlfriend and I have been together for 3 years. We live together and our relationship has been going very well through the years. When I met my girlfriend, I had no reason to think she was not 20. She was in college, all her legal documents indicated that she was 20, and she looked late teens/early 20s.
Turns out she's not 23. Legally, she's 23, but she's actually 20 fucking years old. I'm not trolling right now, she is literally 20 years old. My girlfriend came here when she was 11 years old (actually 8). Her parents bumped up her age by 3 years to make her eligible to come, so that's why all of her documents indicate she's 3 years older than she actually is. This means she was 17 YEARS OLD when she started dating me, a 24-year-old man at the time. In our 3 years together, she never mentioned this until now. We talked about having another child (i have a 6 year old from a previous relationship), and I mentioned her being 23. She then says she's technically 20 in passing. I did not believe her at first until she called her parents to confirm. She doesn't even think it's a big deal! I seriously don't know what to do because we're really happy but I also feel like a fucking pedophile.
