Watched Glass Onion earlier, Thai food has now been ordered. Thai curry of any sort is a wonderful food for the cold.

Thai Studio is solid and reasonably priced even with the Uber Eats upcharge. Very much recommend.

Cleaning the house in anticipation of weekend visitors. I'm just grateful that me, my fiancee, and my dogs have a warm safe place. Thinking of everyone who doesn't have that tonight

Watching my 3D printer finish off my last Christmas gift while I'm downloading Elden Ring on PS5. It won GOTY from The Game Awards two weeks ago and I've been needing a new time suck while it's so cold outside.

My parents are in town for the long Christmas weekend but came down with a cold as they arrived at my sister's Wednesday evening. My husband and I are holding off on getting together in case unless we're fairly confident it's not Covid. (My mom is already feeling better today so I'd say 2 days from start to finish is very likely not Covid.)

Edit: added trailer and second sentence

Now that my power is back, I'm cozy under my electric blanket, having a battle of the wills with my dog who would also like to be cozy under my electric blanket. Little does he know, I couldn't care less if he gets on the couch or not, and as soon as he lays down and stops trying to sneak his way up or leverage me off with his nose (so he can take my spot), I'll gladly invite him up. Sadly, the temper tantrum seems far from over.

(He is warm enough, he's cozy in his sweater.)

The issues with our zoo are noted elsewhere and I generally agree with them- but it’s all besides the point for me. There are two facts that I can’t get around when trying to justify maintaining captive breeding programs:

  1. Humans aren’t entitled to animals.

  2. Animals don’t care about extinction.

If we’re not doing it for the benefit of individuals who can appreciate their own sacrifice, and doing it causes them measurable misery, then we shouldn’t do it.

We made our bed, now we have to sleep in it. On a planetary timescale this is a blip, humans will die soon enough and nature will heal itself.

So my fiancé is Vietnamese so we usually get Pho Thien Phat on horsepen bc she’s says it’s the most authentic and it really is delicious

To answer the question, it’s kind of different I suppose by definition but it is broth, noodles, wontons, sliced pork and herbs/bean sprouts

She gets the “regular” which is pork meatballs plus noodles and the rest of it

Thanks. I'm definitely a sucker for tabbies too. I finally placated the other one with some paper cuttings but I'll have to try wrapping her up next time, that sounds hilarious and she definitely has an attitude.

It's crazy the city hasn't really done anything about this. Although as I have argued with you before I don't think taxpayer dollars should go to care of a cemetery when we have so many issues for living citizens in the city. I don't understand people's obsession with cemeteries. Dead people don't need anything. And I include Hollywood cemetery in that as well. Cemeteries are a complete waste of space and resources.

We’re watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the Jim Carrey version, and eating delicious Chinese food. Going to wrap the remaining presents tonight. Crossing our fingers our pipes don’t freeze or burst tonight, got the water dripping. Ready for celebrations tomorrow!
