I believe there is one on Blakemore Rd just off of Jahnke by the middle school. I thought it was a red light camera at first or something to do with enforcement of the reduced speed due to the school zone. Interesting that these are actually license plate scanners!

Do you have more info on the zoo breeding a kind of wild cat and releasing them into the wild? I know the zoo has a pretty successful cheetah breeding program, but I figured all of those cubs would stay in captivity. From what I understand, it’s very rare for animals born and raised in captivity to be released into the wild.

Zoo’s serve an important role in preservation of endangered species through breeding. Some species are near extinction, only present in Zoo’s and wildlife sanctuaries. The goal is to eventually reintroduce species back into the wild.

Currently 1° in PA (“feels like” of -17°) and haven’t left my sister’s house all day for obvious reasons. Keep checking the cam I have on my cat back at home in Richmond - can’t wait to be home in a few days to just relax with him. (Heat is on and he’s in my top floor apartment so I know it’s toasty there for him). Started my book of the month pick for December this afternoon so hoping to make some headway on that tonight. Family is watching a movie and I have too short of an attention span so I’m in the guest room opting out with a glass of wine.

I've a cat that does the same thing. She'll meow at the door until you let her out. Only way to appease her is to let her find out how cold it is herself.
