A lot of suburbs in the U.S. are going to be facing economic issues as sprawly infrastructure starts to get old, decline, and have less people per unit of area paying in. They'll never face the issues you mentioned with services systems being older than most people alive, but it's going to get interesting for them, especially as many run out of space to be able to keep the growth cycle going.

Your main pipe is probably frozen in your basement. Crawl down there with a hairdryer and hit that thing until it opens up. Probably frozen near the edge of your house where the is an air gap in your foundation.

Just give it a good look and make sure it isn't bulging or something but it's likely a thick metal pipe and will be fine.

3 year seasoned red oak in the fireplace is making everyone get buck neked up in cheer. I knew my manic wood splitting would pay off one day. And the dog sleeps almost directly under the inferno

I had it years ago on my L4/L5

  • Try to recover naturally

  • Get steroid shots first and try to recover naturally

  • Do PT first and try to recover naturally

  • Understand you may not be pain free after and will always have a soft spot when lifting boxes/furniture/car crashes. You are down 1/2 a disc permanently. It doesn't regenerate. Hence the natural recovery.

  • I lived with the gradually worse pain for 8 months and now have residual nerve damage, I should have seen a doc way sooner

  • I had mine done by Raj Mehta of Neurological Associates and he was great.

  • If you have radiating pain down your legs, make an apt now or goto Ortho On Call to get an MRI scheduled STAT

  • If at any point you lose feeling in your genitals, you have an emergency, go to the ER

  • And finally if at all possible try to recover naturally, it will take months of taking it easy to fully heal. But then again, after surgery I couldn't lift anything over 10 lbs for 3 months and it was about 2 years to 100%

Injury was in my late 20s, non smoker, athletic build (being obese apparently just constantly pulls your spine forward due to large stomach, making injury/recovery worse whenever you are standing)

I 1000% agree! Call first to make an appointment. Then treat yourself to new bras that fit perfectly. Ruth is so good at fitting and really cares about you not just making a sale.

Several factors. Newer roads in the Short Pump area, designed and built in the last 20ish years, compared to city roads that were built a century or more ago. Henrico's overall infrastructure is newer, and without digging up budgets, I'd hazard a guess Henrico thus doesn't need to spend as much money in water/sewer/drainage maintenance and can focus more on road maintenance, whereas the city has to maintain a dense and aged infrastructure network.
