Basically on winter break thanks to a bunch of PTO, which I have no issue taking since there's really not much to do for me at work anyway this week. Drove back from NOVA this morning and got home in 1:20. Took bike to the shop for a tuneup since it looks like we'll have some decent riding weather at the end of the week. Just cleaned the kitchen. Will clean another room and clean two more tomorrow. Pacing is key. Then college football and drinks. Not a bad Tuesday.

On vacay week. The toddler keeps asking if this is the weekend. Went and looked at flooring since that's all we can do as we impatiently wait for our house to close. Got more pho to live up to the last of this cold snap. Going to venture to the park this afternoon. Probably do city stuff the next few days.

Yeah, my youngest is on sleep regression number…I’ve lost count, so yeah he gets up, wakes up the 5 yo and it’s off to the races. I’m used to it at this point so it’s not too terrible, but boy I will be glad when they’re both sleeping consistently.

Ruth's Chris and Hondos are the only places in Richmond that have consistently good steak.

Bookbinders and Buckheads are both very hit or miss. I don't want to pay $60+ for a miss.

There is a cost to that though it's not free which is one of the reasons New York rent is so expensive.

It's also not a thing in Richmond obviously because we use different heating systems. We need more HVAC techs but you can't exactly force them to work over Christmas holidays

Like it or not, yeah. Every smaller city gets pigeonholed with some stereotype, we got “burned down in the civil war.” Every time I see a Richmond article it’s always the same thing. I’m not saying there’s not an element of truth, but you’d think after 15 years of the same thing, people wouldn’t be playing the rebuilding/wrestling-with-the-past bullet points in every single article.
