Yeah they're old school as hell lol I didn't realize it was straight up D&D. Thought it was just inspired by and similar to it. Nope. I've learned many a lesson by dying like shit lol.

My spouse and I typically go to Burleighs for body work. I was rear-ended last year and they did a good job of repainting the rear bumper cover and painting another spot on the car that my spouse requested because it had a rock chip.

I always get a sensible chuckle when they talk about how the city is a war zone filled with roving gangs.
Like, how do these people get through life when they think anything “edgier” than going to Cheesecake Factory in Short Pump is inherently dangerous?

Also check out The Shepherds Center. They do a weekly lunch series of adult lectures and they organize able-bodied seniors to help out other seniors in need in the area.

Senior citizens over age 60 are also able to take up to three free non-credit courses at VCU every semester under certain conditions of the Senior Citizens Higher Education Program, I met several seniors in my courses over the years who took advantage of that. I've seen people in their early thirties ask on the VCU sub if other students would consider them "old" in undergrad courses, when there are people over twice their age already there and nobody ever cared or treated them any differently. If anything they just got more respect for attending purely out of curiosity or the pursuit of knowledge.

They do have a couple non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu, and I bet the bartenders would mix something up for you too. Order the soup of the day but non-alcoholic. Have a couple snacks, I really like the smoked trout dip and steak tartare, and then go hit another spot nearby for a real meal.

I know I just can drink because of migraines, but I still want to spend time with my friends and want to still enjoy myself with some good bar food :(

Curious, where did you look at flooring and would you recommend? We need to start thinking about this for our house and I am overwhelmed...

LOL. That's the point. Their intention is to be as much of a booze-bar as is possible in a state like VA. They make their food margins off of Carytown Cupcakes. They don't claim to be a restaurant.

Every Times Dispatch article about NYC should start with "New York City, a haven for Loyalists fleeing the American colonies, was occupied by the British until the absolute very end of the Revolution and will forever be defined that way. It's really coming into its own now though."

Also Foremost on Midlothian. These are staple stores for my thrifty father.

Mentioned above, but check out Jungle Room. I'm not much of a tiki fan but their menu has several really good drinks.

Jungle Room drinks suck. Best drinks are the bars at higher end restaurants, but agree limited selection.

Even though I'm more into the classics and bitter stuff when making at home, the tiki themed cocktail menu at Jungle Room is my favorite one in Richmond. You can go early if you're not trying to hear the DJs later.
