Conejo. Flavors were merely okay, everything was pricey, and the portions were tiny. Didn't try any of the drinks, but the whole place felt more like a restaurant to be seen at instead of eat at. These complaints make me feel old.

I’m fortunately struggling to think of the last underwhelming meal of mine from a Richmond restaurant. I will say that the nice little sandwiches at Sugar and Twine in Carytown used to be a great value for your dollar but that time is sadly over.

Y'all are gonna hate me, but I don't see the appeal of food at Joe's Inn. They have a nice bar scene but I wasn't impressed by the meals I've had there. Much prefer Bombolini pasta cooked at home and a pint of Guinness at Penny Lane or Rosie's.

Tbh, Richmond is not even on the radar of most Americans. I talk to people from all over the country in big cities (through work), and most raise their eyebrows when I say I live here and not Austin, NYC, DC, Denver, Bay Area etc. I get the "what's it like there?" question often. The most common thing people say is "I have heard it's beautiful out there". My hometown in the Midwest can't even find Virginia on a map.

Exception being people who have visited UR for campus tours etc. That school draws fancy folk from all over it seems.
