hands down the best ALDI for fresh produce is the one near broad and boulevard, but even they can be dicey sometimes

I have a flight today with a connection in dulles. Woke up to a notification that the flight out of RIC is delayed and i would miss the connection so now I get to drive to dulles last minute.

Now, what if you got yourself a job at the airport? Perfect combination!

Well let me be the first to (preemptively) welcome you home! May your flight be on time and the seat next to you vacant 🙏

The extent of my holiday travel was a quick day trip to see family in Lynchburg. Otherwise, I’m lucky that my (mostly young adult) children come to me. I love to cook for them. The downside of that is the time from thanksgiving to New Year’s is one enormous slide into becoming a small whale. Once they leave, I will spend the winter becoming a smaller whale by spring.

Thanks! I'm going to Richmond today 😉.
But the trip was totally worth it. Family trip of sorts in PR. I'll just know better than to book a red-eye from San Juan in the future. That was not a fun airport to camp out in for a few hours. Logan is considerably nicer for the layover thankfully!

Im also awake too early to be functional but all I have to blame is creeping anxiety. I hope wherever you’re going is awesome!
No holiday travel for us. Our holiday arrangement has long been that we travel for thanksgiving and host Christmas at our house. It’s worked well for about a decade and saved a lot of stress. I remember cross-country driving to various grandparents homes for Christmas (as a military kid, we never lived close to family) and it was always a schlep and more stressful than fun. Doing my best to save my own kid from that.

Red-eyes are exhausting no matter what time of year. Grateful I've not run into any delays yet!

I like Legend Brewing just south of the river. It’s going to be in the 60s on Friday so sitting outside is a possibility. I also recommend Lucky AF (sushi) and The Circuit Arcade Bar in Scotts Addition.

Only did a quick road trip down to NC Christmas day. So glad I'm not in all this air travel mess. Looks exhausting.

Definitely check out the original location on Rt 1 - it's always a fun browse

Haven’t been there in a few years but Salvation Army used to get some cool furniture in. You might have to go a few times but worth the browse. I’d go to the one by the SPCA and the one on Mechanicsville Turnpike. Plus I trusted their cleaning process for upholstered furniture - other thrift stores not so much. Happy shopping!

I get most of my veggies from Seasonal Roots, which delivers farm direct veggies from local farmers. After that I use Pole Green Produce when they're open, and then Kroger

Redemption thrift on Patterson also has thrifty sisters across the street. I’ve found great stuff in both. Also Muse Me near OTooles on Forest Hill Ave has really interesting mix of antique /eclectic and local artists

Hey does anyone happen to know a good way to maybe find if a Richmond resident has found a lost reptile? I say this because someone might have found my lost pet Ball Python. Someone took the python a user here found promising to care for it till claimed but doesnt know who. Im trying a last ditch effort to get my pet back. I dont believe this is a coincidence. The python was found on Ellwood. Im just asking for advice.
Otherwise,I hope this snake will be well cared for and loved.
