I've never found the wide ones. You can get the thin ones at grocery stores and New Grand Mart. I haven't had a chance to check out Tan A for them yet though. So that's worth a shot.

I have, unfortunately, witnesses that in SA before. There’s not enough money in the world to make me do that.

As someone who grew up in the area, I actually prefer option 3. Adding a totally new on-ramp will infinitely ease congestion in Short Pump because folks from the Wyndham area will no longer be driving up to broad to get onto 64 during rush hour. There are a LOT of families that live in that area.

Additionally, it will split the exit traffic between people who want to use the area around the Target/the Whole Foods (or TJs) area -- who will continue to take the Broad exit -- and people who want to go to the mall -- who will start taking that Gayton exit.

Re. your point about pedestrian accommodation, I definitely empathize with that and wish Short Pump was much more walkeable (especially after spending time in larger, more pedestrian cities like Boston), but I don't think these half-assed measures are really going to do anything. Barring a larger overhaul, Short Pump will never become truly pedestrian friendly IMHO, especially not with the proposed changes.

Just my $0.02 as someone who is intimately familiar with the hellscape that is that Short Pump 64 on-ramp.

It’s not nearly that hard to pick up after your pet. I definitely think the area could increase trash pickup frequency and green space. But it’s not an excuse for poor dog ownership. I see a lot of poop behind Symbol where there is a dog bag bin and several trash cans.

Looks like maybe some kind of old sewer overflow. Flow enters from box at left, pool fills and bubbles over to limit velocity and erosion. That’s my civil engineer guess.

Riding GRTC has been free for a while, so the OP wouldn't have paid.

I think the other responses are right about this being the end of the route. But unless the bus is going out of service or perhaps the driver's meal break is coming up at the end of the route, I don't know of a reason the driver would have said anything.

And this is why we don't have nice things...like streetlights.
