Going to Costco, soon I hope. Teenage daughter asked to come and now it's taking her forever to get ready. You would think she's going to Paris fashion week or something. Grrrr..

Yo that was wild. A group of us bicyclists pulled up on that shit minutes after it happened and assessed the situation realizing it was fresh and the whole block of tbe neighborhood who heard it had already came out to help manage crawling him out and sit him down before the fire department and ems even showed up. We kind of split up marshaling the intersections from any thru traffic and when first responders pulled up we started to pull out. As we were going by on the side walk we saw the vehicle had clipped the corner of a parked car that had catapulted him for that flip all the while fire department didn't even talk to anyone and got axes to rip open the car doors to assess injuries and clear any occupants but then were like where are they??

Insane thing to see after our really quiet holiday ride on our way back into town

Dean baby z guitar like new this is a 7/8 size guitar I purchased it as old new stock. $200 or make a reasonable offer. Pick up in Church Hill. Info on the size. “Compared to the smallest full-sized parlor guitars, the 7/8 guitar is only about 1″ (1.5 cm) smaller, almost not noticeable. A 7/8 guitar is approximately 4″ (10 cm) smaller than a full-sized dreadnought guitar.”

I’m guessing you live in that little townhouse area behind the TJs? That place is a little unique in that the area is very self contained (and pedestrian friendly!) I actually really like it and hope that model becomes more common across the US.

But for everyone else living in short pump, it’s not feasible to walk or bike from a place like Twin Hickory to the mall, even if the distance isn’t super onerous, and I think that’s what most of us are talking about. Even walking from the Target to the Regal Cinemas is not easy even though it’s less than a quarter of a mile or so.

I wonder if there's a town somewhere that thinks Bojangles is a local restaurant.

Is this the byproduct of the fact that we did have a fried chicken franchise out of RVA? (RIP Church's.) Just wondering outloud.

Edit: how terrible. I got the name of the RVA franchise wrong. Golden Skillet is from RVA, not Church's.

Growing up in and having lived in several suburban areas, I find short pump one of the more pedestrian friendly suburban areas. I know this is not how I'm told to feel about the area. From my house, within a 10-15 minute walk there's several restaurants, a couple grocery stores, a dog park, and a bunch of other shops. Before I bought this house, my apartment was also close to some things. Is it location? Of course, but my location is not unique given the number of subdivisions around mine.

Yeah, that 64 intersection is a hellscape and think both those changes will help some.

I’m performing at Decemberween tonight at Diversity! Event is 8 pm - 4 am. Tickets are pricey BUT it’s an 8 hour event, with drink included, and access to tons of art/performances/multiple DJs/etc. It’s going to be super fun!

Yes. It’s an 8 hour event with tons of performers, DJs, art pieces, etc. It was voted one of the top NYE events in the country by Ticketmaster. Pricey but worth it imo. Although I’m biased because I’ll be performing there tonight! :)
