I just got a PCP appt with Primary Health Group at Retreat as a new patient, I was able to get in within 3 weeks. I've heard good things about the doctor I'm seeing but I've also have heard the front desk staff is a bit grumpy. I haven't been yet so I can't report any personal experience yet. Their website appt maker didn't work for me so I called. I've also heard amazing things about 7 Hills but they're direct care and right now I would prefer going through my insurance.

Looks like a pretty standard boomer Facebook rant.

> Gubmint bad! Distrust gubmint! But I'll keep voting for the party that enables gubmint to be bad! Why? Because I was instructed to vote against these stupid liberals that I'm definitely smarter than! Does voting this way help me at all? No! But liberals bad! Distrust liberals! Fake culture wars distract me and make me feel smarter than the average bear!

Patient first doctors have misdiagnosed me so many times. They're only worth a trip if you need a doctor's note or can't get in anywhere else for an illness imo. I go to planned parenthood for regular exams and while they can take a while to get in to, they offer great care.

25th st north of M is particularly bad. I'm over on 31st and Q and have had no issues with solicitors. There were gunshots a few blocks down the street several months ago, but over the last year that we've been here it has been quiet and lovely (except for the sound of trains, but I think that is true for the entire east end/south Richmond)

As a runner, I loooove church hill! You can run down 21st st to the capital trail, run east along the river, then run back up one of the best (worst) hills ever, hit the stairs at libby and end exhausted with views of the city to limp home. It’s absolutely a favorite - it’s about 5mi to the pool house area at rockets landing and back, but you can go as far as you want - if you make it a 10mi run, it’ll include some forested areas and a nice peaceful feeling like you’re in the country vibe…. It’s one of the absolute best runs… I could do it every day (except for that hill/the stairs 😂). It’s brutal and beautiful and mostly with no cars around.

So our GP is through Family Practice Associates of Chesterfield. They’re aligned to St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian. I’m not sure where you are but they have been great. Our primary is usually busy but her PA and her nursing staff is willing to take last minute appointments. We’ve also done telemedicine. They have evenings and weekends if you’re a busy working adult.

Hope this helps!

When is an electrical permit needed?

  • Installation of wiring and equipment that operates at 50 or more volts
  • Network powered broadband communications systems
  • Installation located in a plenum
  • Installation that penetrates fire rated or smoke protected construction
  • Installation that is a component of any of the following (Please note that a mechanical permit is needed for any fire protection system or elevator installation/alteration. An electrical permit may be needed in addition to the mechanical permit.)
  • fire alarm system
  • fire detection system
  • fire suppression system
  • smoke control system
  • fire protection supervisory system
  • elevator fire safety control system
  • access or egress control system or delayed egress locking or latching system
  • fire damper
  • door control system

When is an electrical permit not needed?

  • Replacement of the following in Groups R-2 where serving a single dwelling unit and in Groups R-3, R-4 and R-5:
  • General use snap switches, dimmer and control switches
  • 125 volt – 15 or 20 ampere receptacles
  • Luminaires (lighting fixtures)
  • Ceiling (paddle) fans

If you are paying an electrician to do the work, permits should be their problem.

There a few Northside neighborhoods that I think would fit your criteria well (I would check out Bellevue, Lakeside, and Ginter Park.) Yes, it’s a city - it comes with the usual things that you get living in a city. The biggest downside is if you have kids, the schools are not great. I have lived in Richmond for five years and generally love it here!
