Sounds good! If you don't have strava, feel free to give me a list of neighborhoods and I can send you zoomed in pictures of the heatmap from those areas to show you how often people run on it. If you drive by at a certain time it may seem like there's no traffic but it's actually constantly busy or something (or vice versa).

True. I am trying to get a refund for Asheville and just buy another for Baltimore. Waiting to hear back, if not I'll just stick with what I got.

Feeling like I need a win today. Though everything work has said has been positive, kind of hard to not see all of the layoffs happening and get a little bit worried.
On the bright side, Day 20 of Dry January whoop whoop!

At the bottom of Chimborazo Park, there's a trail that takes you over to Government Road. Cross the road and stay left of the tracks and there's another trail that takes you to Jennie Scher. Cross the road and stay right of the railroad tracks and you can pick up another trail that has a couple of ways to go, but it entails miles and miles of additional wooded, relatively technical, trails. I occasionally see other people there, but for the most part, you'll have it to yourself.

The wood work and sturdiness of it all. Beams bigger than me, brick and stone walls 3’ thick. Its also just very cute

Have you had any Flander's Red Ale while there? It's one of my favorites. What is your Oma's favorite recipe or a recipe of hers that's one of your favorites?

No one is ever at Powhite Park and it’s surprisingly nice and secluded for the location

each employee receives a $2 tip that is “added to their pay”, clearly they made more than enough in tips where they would be able to slip it amongst employees per shift

Shit, I didn't even think about Baltimore, and I work for Amtrak and can travel for free! And I have a buddy pass too!

Powhite Park isn't exactly lesser known but it is out of the way of anything else interesting. Lots of side trails to make many miles.

Forest Hill Park and Dogwood Dell / Byrd Park have some great wooded trails.

I'm glad he got the payment. I have a lot more sympathy for the tradespeople than I do for the investors -- not that I don't feel for the investors at all, but people who rip off workers so they can make more money (for country clubs and private school, no less) should absolutely be brought to justice.

Yes! I’m sure he paid his RCC joining fee and dues via his client’s money!!!

Good point and thank goodness the rich people sued him esp because he also stole from lots of not rich people.
My husband went after him initially for the money, but, in the end, it was all about the principle. After publicly shaming Josh, he got payment for him/ his crew and all of his subs. So many other really great tradesmen never got paid by Josh. They either didn’t have the time to go after him or they thought they were somehow in the wrong (eg didn’t feel they had an enforceable contract).
However this particular justice was wrought, I’m glad to see that justice was served.

After the family visited town this week, I seem to have caught a classic head cold. Being sick sucks, especially since grad school classes started back up this week. Womp womp.
