UGH YES. Especially since I'm a little chonkier than I'd like to be right now! 😂

I feel that way about the second floor walkways at Short Pump. You can feel the tiles flex a bit when you walk.

What is the building across from the Soft Parade in Shockoe Bottom? There is a wood fence that is closed most of the time but occasionally opens in the afternoon with bouncers at the entrance. No registered business on Google maps that I see. No signs of any sort.

I think it's finally time to give up my grandfathered Verizon unlimited plan. They keep jacking up the prices and now it's been long enough to know there isn't anything shady going on with their new unlimited plans. It would have been nice to get money toward a new phone, but prefer international unlocked versions.
I used to enjoy sunrises over the Huguenot Bridge back when I worked in Southside in college.

Used to work in BoA building...I do miss the amazing views, especially of the river, but I do NOT miss the exterior windows flexing when the wind was up. I know they're supposed to do that, but it still sounded like the entire building was coming down on my head!

Vacayed at Outer Banks last year. Just getting up, walking on the beach and seeing those birds fly over the waves and people fishing early morning was so special and relaxing.

I noticed a few weeks ago that one of the doors (I think, may be a window) has a big piece of plywood over it. I hope nothing like a break in happened.

Someone else might have a more direct suggestion but I've found the Richmond 311 to be pretty responsive.

I can't find a single article or statement about Singleton charging with the knife.
Only that he had a knife, in his waistband and not a part the "encounter": >Part of that evidence was a bladed weapon found in Singleton’s waistband, according to Taylor.

Driving over the bridge from Tappahannock to Warsaw has to one of my favorite sunrises I've ever seen. The view plus the way the sun hits the water and the grasses. I know it's not RVA, but it's close enough and people forget the amazing difference of ecology within a 1 hr drive from us.

Can someone tell me who to contact about a malfunctioning traffic light? In Richmond proper.

Reply to If you buy a ticket in person at the Altria Theater Box Office, do they charge the same heinous "ticket fee" that they do online at etix? by klm2978
Definitely buy your tickets at the box office (around the corner from the main entrance on W. Main). I was getting four tickets to My Fair Lady in the first balcony and they were coming out to about $400-450 online. Went to the box office and it was about $200 (not exaggerating). If you look closely on the ticketing website, there's a small disclaimer that says they are a 3rd party seller and prices may not reflect the actual ticket price. Such a scam.
I think the box office is open around lunchtime most weekdays - you could call in advance to check.

It's especially faster if you leave from Staples Mill and not Main Street.

This is the time of year when I get to my cube, the sun is blaring straight into my eye. I at least have a nice view of the ICA and eastbound Broad Street before I draw the blinds down a bit.

Truist's cafe (Meriwether's Market) at their high-rise is open at 8am and does pretty cheap breakfast sandwiches (10th and Main, 3rd floor).
