Cleaning out my storage unit, if anyone needs skis, shell casings, surfboards, reloading equipment, bodyboards, fins, or other stuff let me know. It's been explained to me that we don't "need" this stuff. And it's just "junk".

Idk why you’re getting downvoted either. I mean I would like to say too that the cops would all be fired and charged right away if they were white but I don’t trust the police and based on their numerous criminal and murderous actions how could we possibly believe they would do the right thing? Whole police system needs to be abolished. Bunch of good for nothing bastards.
FUCK THE POLICE

Full disclosure, it was pre-covid and I'm sure the group has shuffled around a bit, but it's also just the kind of vibe that draws creeper culture types.
I appreciate crude and perverted humor but I need to know the person first, when you make it your base and up front acceptable, it's harder to screen out which ones aren't joking.

So I’m judging the food, quality of service, price point of the menu, and atmosphere. And overall, Gersi is a worse experience than driving to Short Pump to eat at Maggiano’s. The fact that one is a chain and the other is not makes no difference.

Going to watch the movie Red at the same time with my daughter over at Manchester and my cousin in Tennessee while on a 3 way call. Loads of fun heckling the film

Selling my COVID project home bar. It could use some finishing touches in the trim department, especially at the back bar, but still a decent looking thing.
Kegerator has been sold. Just the bar is left.
$150
Dimensions: Bar top: D: 16 1/4" L: 73" H: 43"
Back bar: D: 23" L: 60" + 3/4" baseboard H: 37 1/2"
Total depth: 36" It will just fit through a 36" door fully assembled.

Of course it’s worse than Rodney King. King survived.

A chain and a local restaurant are just not comparable. I’m not here to say that you have to like Gersi, but I think it’s harsh to say worst italian in Richmond.

You’re forgetting the part where the Police are just a defense force for the rich when everything goes sideways, they will NEVER take their power.

Subway has over 20,000 restaurants in the US. Do they make the best subs?

I saw a guy walking his dog at parham and broad. He was almost done crossing the road and this car turning onto parham absolutely lost their shit on him for being there.

Actually one of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. Black Salt Cesar is delicious, and Lemon pasta add fresh ricotta is worth all my money.
They are obviously doing something right if they are able to open a second Richmond location.

Easily the worst for the $$. We thought the bill was wrong it was so high. And the food was nothing special at all.

Yea. Like I KNOW so many people so going out I always run into people (side job is a very popular bar in the city for metal heads/punks/vegans) so I love chilling there with my shift drink.
My problem is I live alone, single, and struggle to find things to do. So a lot of times I just go to a bar I know- but that has ended up in me blacking out at times and being shitty.
But other times it leaves me on adventures I wouldn’t be doing if I was sober.
Also calories/missing the gym is something I’m trying to avoid.

Same. I don't think I should be dry forever though because it will not ultimately bring me happiness. Putting another boundary on myself has made me even more antisocial, bitter at my spouse and missing out on a huge section of Richmond entertainment.

We got a couple apps. The classic bruschetta and the mozz. They were both mediocre at best. Carraba’s does a better job than Gersi.

Taking an appliance to the dump. It will be the first time leaving the house all week. Woot! Edit: the awesome lady at the transfer station told us to go down the street and get money for it. 19 bucks and a scratch ticket for our junk metal!

A cop who murders someone in cold blood isn’t just some asshole, they used power and privilege to bring pain and suffering to the world. Based on the video, they really thought they would get away with this crime without consequence. Which is very telling for the general mindset of police. The cops tried to manipulate the situation so that it seemed like Tyre was resisting arrest (to justify their violence against him). Thanks to the sky cam footage their lies were uncovered. How many other police have lied and gotten away with violence and murder?
One could argue that the BLM protests and riots are the ONLY reason these cops are facing severe consequences. But even then it’s not enough, they’re just a tiny part of a much bigger problem.
This won’t be the last time someone is killed or maimed. So yeah, people are understandably upset and outraged (and also exhausted and heartbroken by a broken system). There is very little any of us can do in this moment to stop the future killings. What do you do when nothing changes? Do you think revolution happens quietly and peacefully? That would be nice but let’s be real.
