Got hit by a car when trying to walk from the bottom to brown's island during the Folk Festival. Luckily driver had just turned at a light from being at a stop so I didn't get hit hard or hurt. He just rolled his window down and asked "you good?" I responded something like "um.. i mean.. yea??" I was pretty startled. He just took off after that.

Almost got hit driving like 2 times the other day on the same drive.

Everyone is in such a hurry they don't pay attention to safety.

The Fuck Biden sign guy was there. I asked why he wanted to have sex with an 80 year old man and he said, "He's a pedophile!"

I asked if that was his favorite word this week.

I will pay someone 25 dollars an hour to stand next to this guy with a sign that says "THIS GUY WANTS TO".

Did they get a new staff that sucks? I went there a year ago on a whim. We had excellent service when eating at the bar, and the single entree we ordered to split was plenty of food for two people. Hell, I even remember texting a friend while I was there that we should eat there next time we hang out. My only trip was the prices.

There has to be a new staff or something. I can tell from the photo in this thread that whoever is ordering the ingredients is doing some serious cost-cutting, and that BOH doesn’t seem to gaf.

Grew up in NYC, first gen Italian family, go to a Italy quite a bit, particularly southern and Sicily, for several month a year…so I think I kinda of an a decent judge of this type of food..the ambiance is def red sauce Brooklyn vibe but that’s where it ends.. they brought us bread..after we had to ask.. and it was not just cold..it felt like it was in early stage defrost..one pasta dish was fine, the other terrible..the food reminded me of one of those awful tourist places in what’s left of little Italy.but at least there the service was decent. For sure better places in RVA for Italian

Not if done properly, this is also unfortunately the attitude that does not make the situation any better. This is something we need to work on collectively.

My profession is actually in this field, and while I agree that often recycled matter is landfilled instead this is often due to people tainting the recycling stream with items that are not recyclable.

If you truly want to make sure your plastic products are recycled they need to be turned into a center directly.

Virginia actually recycles about 60% of solid waste.

I was in San Marcos, off the 78. My weekly routine was head down to Cardiff by the Sea, and head out at the state park across from the little Mexican restaurant, I can't remember the name. Often getting a ticket because I didn't have a parking pass. Then go get a tritip sandwich at the Seaside Market. They had fresh squeezed orange juice, $10 a half gallon, but let me tell you, that was THE best oj I ever had.
