Turn it into a fitness thing like Yoga with Cats. "Run with Dogs," -$10 a session. You charge them. Cater it toward women who feel unsafe running alone.

When this becomes a booming business, I only expect 5% of gross profit in royalties.

I wish these descriptions were better plus did they take the iPhone? You can track your iPhone and or air pods case; That’s how we found my coworkers car that was stolen. But I’m glad no one was hurt so sorry this happened to you. From and living in Richmond it’s almost normal this happens very very sad. Needless to say I won’t be living here much longer!

I have a friend who knows the owner of one of a big name car dealerships in the area. He said that car theft is at an all time high in the area as well. High end cars are being stolen from dealer lots, homes etc. While I have not validated this information, considering the source I feel it is likely valid. Be vigilant, keep an eye on your surroundings.

My day, like all weekend days, will be taken up with intermittent dog walks because I can't tire out my 10 year-old husky otherwise. If only I was a person who runs. Someone should start a business where they get paid to take dogs on their regular runs. My dog doesn't need a 30 minute casual stroll; bitch needs some 7 minute miles.

I'm old, chunky, and have creaky knees, so it's probably not going to be me.

Todays wish list: Laundry, wash van, long dog walk, and 1-2 hours of work to get some stuff out of the way so Monday isn’t so harsh, then groceries and a nice home cooked dinner. Tall order. Wish me luck.

I’m not following. Should there be more money going to teachers or more money to CIP? And what non-teachers should RPS cut? Procedurally, yes, the superintendent drafts the first budget. But it’s very much shaped by board mandates made over the last year like collective bargaining ($24M), and a 30-staff virtual school ($3M). Also expenses that feel like luxuries now - school renamings and tuition to specialty schools.

I don’t know if it’s because of the differences in cities or just the post-Covid environment, but I haven’t really yet. SF has this energy that I haven’t been able to find elsewhere. I did make a recent trip back to SF and some places were still popping with locals, but others were still pretty quiet. SF is still somewhat in a face-mask and isolation situation, though.

Yaya’s Cookbook is probably the only place I get that SF vibe… slightly.

One thing I think about is anyone doing the analysis on how much local business income could be generated by moving to a different tax method? For example I’m hesitant to buy a new car simply because of the taxes on it vs my 10 years old car. So the local car dealer is not getting my business or insurance person that’s I’d buy on said new car. This also promotes a lot of older less environmental friendly cars on the road too. Just my 2 cents.
