Yes, a decrease of roughly 7k black residents in 20 years, and Richmond's changing demographics are a bit more nuanced than black and white. In the last 20 years, the asian population has doubled, the % of foreign-born residents has nearly doubled, and the hispanic population has nearly tripled (with "Hispanic(white)") driving around a third of richmond's white population growth (roughly 10k out of the 30k increase in white ppl over 20 years, in the city proper).
Also, kind of odd to pick NY and Nova, two of the most ethnically diverse places in the country, as the scapegoats for a perceived wave of white (non-hispanic) migration

We like takeout from Seoul on Midlothian Tpk just before Robious Rd, and Korea Garden much closer in on Midlothian. We’ve not eaten in at either place but the food is great.

Reply to comment by _eringk_ in Best Korean restaurants in/around the city? by wishIcouldbeafish
Korean is my all-time favorite cuisine and this place is my go-to. The building was formerly an old Red Lobster and still has some of that American chain restaurant look/vibe, but food & service, (including at-table bbq grill!) is authentic and wonderful. I haven’t been in a while; now I’m hungry.

My significant other jokes about starting a fitness program called the Blue Collar Workout. Where people pay him to do construction work under his tutelage. Like CrossFit, except with a purpose.

For a long time I thought a puppy rental service would do well in places with a lot of pedestrian traffic. Basically the easiest ice-breaker for anyone looking to meet people is to take a puppy for a walk along Cary street.

Thanks.
I'm glad you got out yesterday. I wanted to, but responsibilities got in my way.

I honestly still haven’t figured out exactly what “the fan” encompasses but I do like the eggs Benedict at Sine and the fact that you never have to wait for a table.

Reply to Exercise classes on the Midlo side that are super-beginner friendly? by Solid-Technology-448
I think Zumba is a great option. Would also recommend some slow paced yoga classes- this is how I began getting in better shape. Yoga helped me to realize that no one is paying nearly as much attention to me as I thought! It helped me get more confident so I could start trying out other more challenging classes and finding what I enjoyed the most. I haven’t been to any of the Y facilities on that side of the river, but I can tell you the northside Y is super welcoming of people of all abilities. I imagine it’s similar at all facilities. Good luck!

I think Housing Opportunities Made Equal still does matched-pair testing to build cases and try to discourage discrimination in the first place. They rely on volunteers to do the testing. https://homeofva.org/get-involved/become-a-tester/

Dillard's. You could spend more elsewhere, but it's probably not needed. They can set you up with good shirt and slacks and even bow tie.
If you want more unique bow tie instead of traditional black one, spend some time on the internet
