I completely disagree. You are trying a chef's product and it's completely subjective; you are not guaranteed to like it. You're taking a risk. If something is genuinely wrong with the food -- it's tastes off, it's way too salty, it's the wrong dish, it smells bad, it's cold, etc, that's different. You just "don't like it"? No.

Back on our Aldi kick lately. Not sure the exact price per pound, but a pack of three breasts was like $11, but the “family pack” of six+ breasts was $14…

I just buy the big one, trim it all on Sunday before trash pickup on Monday. If I use it over the next couple days, cool, otherwise I freeze the rest.

Will use the frozen ones for something in the crockpot or soup or something down the road.

Somewhat related… dozen eggs are $3.99 at aldi.

It finally got me - on day three of the ‘Vid. Got a slight headache Thursday afternoon but it wasn’t anything crazy so I didn’t think anything of it. I woke up Friday morning with the worst chills, grabbed the thermometer and saw a nice 101.9 on it. About an hour later it got up to 102.7 so I got myself to the doc in a box. Got the combo swab for flu/Covid and within 10 minutes the dr was back with my results. I’m only 26, but I, fortunately (I guess??), was able to get one of the antiviral meds because I have asthma. Riding it out, watching football, and napping today.

Perlys (breakfast/lunch), L'opposum, Roosevelt, Metzger, Adarra, Laura Lees, Brenner, Stellas, Alewife, Heritage - anything in that vein will likely be solid/consistent serving wages. Atleast in my exp.

places in scotts addition (Lunch Supper/Fat Dragon) , usually have a solid lunch service as far as money goes most of the days. Downtown places that do lunch could be worth it.

I split time between a "nicer" restaurant 3x a week, and a more casual place on Sunday/Monday(dbl) and do pretty well - I bartend, but this is my experience from covering floor shifts - or working places that tip pool with a small staff.

From a drivers perspective this is the hardest city to drive in I’ve ever been to, and I lived in DC for a decade and New York briefly.

Bikes and pedestrians don’t pay attention to crosswalks or stop signs, cars park in the middle of lanes for 10+ minutes, Amazon drivers stop traffic constantly, no one in this city understands turn signals. no one has any regard for anyone else’s safety here.

Something has to change not just in the infrastructure, but the mentality of this city. There is no reason this tiny town should have so many pedestrian deaths

Totally agree with this. This is a VCU problem not a city problem. I’m not blaming the victim in this situation and I’m honestly not that familiar with the story. There are a lot of students that just don’t pay attention when crossing streets and there needs to be more pedestrian bridges on campus to completely avoid the roads.
