Entitled is absolutely the word. And egotistical. Can't tell you how often I see crashes here, and it's obvious one party could have avoided it but were clearly committed to being "right" rather than being safe. The entire city values self-righteousness over actual morality, this is just one way it manifests.

The difference amount saved on gas in a newer car definitely compensates for the maybe couple hundred more you spend on taxes.

Ok only because you mentioned LPH, if you're up for driving another time, the Northside Benedict at The Mill in Bellevue is one of my faves in the city. It's exactly like an eggs Benedict that they used to have at LPH before their ownership changed. On a biscuit with cheese, it's so good haha. Add their honey habanero hot sauce too!

Reply to Exercise classes on the Midlo side that are super-beginner friendly? by Solid-Technology-448
I've never taken a yoga class in Midlo, but at every other studio I've been to, unless specified otherwise in the description, the classes are meant to be modified to your level. You can take a break in child's pose at any time and often at harder parts, instructors will give you some options and if you're a beginner, you just take the easiest one. All that to say yoga is very friendly to beginners! And even if it seems like everyone else knows what they're doing, we love seeing newbies come so there's no judgement! Again, no recommendations for places in Midlothian but any decent studio should be welcoming, regardless of skill or fitness level.

My car and delivery truck's brakes and suspension argue against speed humps and raised pedestrian tables. The brick crosswalks are bad enough.

Nope, fake news. The state of Virginia has a progressive income tax as low as 2.5% and as high as 5.75%.

It was so sad hearing that. Later that night I was driving home from an event and they put a crosswalk guard there, like where was this before the accident?! Fearing for my life everytime I'm walking/bussing to class.

I'm not trying to defend the driver here, but I do find it frustrating and unsafe that both the driver and the pedestrian have a green light at the same time. I would rather wait an extra 30 seconds at the light than to be afraid of hitting someone.

Seen multiple drug deals go down in that parking lot. Still prefer it to the Exxon next door though because I've never had the homeless people come up and talk to me at the Wawa

The Heritage Farm ones are $2-2.50 a pound depending on if it's on sale and it's 5 or 6 huge breasts. Comes out to be around $10 for the pack but it's a lot of chicken.

I was there earlier today only because I was so low on gas I was afraid I’d run out if I didn’t stop. Homeless folks at both entrances/exits. Chaotic parking around the gas pumps. I’m always happy to leave there.

Not saying it would end Richmond. Just trying to evaluate the pros and cons and repercussions.

I think it depends on how you’re defining resources. It’s of course about community supports but also folks in poverty could really just benefit from access to financial resources like a refundable earned income tax credit and child tax credit because money DOES help people.
