If you end up in Short Pump, Arilang sushi is to die for.
El Paso Mexican has the best white sauce. Like 20 minutes from downtown, lots of this subreddit love to hate on it

Almost all of the Fan has no historic preservation rules, what are you talking about. There only areas which there are actual rules are parts of Grace, Park and Monument. Everywhere else… go nuts.

Agree 100% w/ this. Bringing people into the world when you don’t have the means to provide for them is criminal

I'd love to take it off your hands if the other person doesn't get it first!

Not in the heart of down town but:
Akida in the fan is a fun spot and has very good price Katsu and other entrees. Sushi is a bit more expensive, but reasonable unless you go for the over the top special rolls.
Edos Squid has big portions of pasta for under $20. Meats and seafood are more. I think it’s a cool space, but very loud and crowded.
Beauvine, for burgers.

What if people are content with the way things are? I don’t want to live in Arlington or Tysons Corner.

Here we go, not quite that insane, but 2000 calls in 5 years. That's over 1/day

You cross a fairly large bridge, and go through a underwater tunnel.

I read that gas station and the surrounding area had like 1000 911 calls in a year or some unbelievably large number.

The franchisor of BurgerIM ran off with all the company’s money and is hiding out overseas, leaving all franchisees orphaned without any support system. The local owner is the same but the “money problems” were not his.

Right. But if you continue to charge a premium+ price for each property that you DO develop, then it doesn’t matter how little or how many you build, if most people are still priced out.

On the other hand the hotels are cheaper in short pump. So you can stay there but spend your time in Richmond.
