I used Appointment Scanner for a month Dec-Jan and only saw Richmond appointments show up once. 45 spots early in the morning and I missed them of course. Might have also been harder with all the holidays.

Ended up getting an appointment at Downtown DC office on a day that was convenient. Was able to drive up and park directly under the building. Appointment only took 5 minutes.

Just myself though. Difficult with a whole family...

To go off of this, my parents live in one of the pricier neighborhoods in the West End. The couple who moved next door to them about a year ago are from Manhattan and have full-time WFH positions. They are in their low-to-mid 30s and still on an NYC salary, so the husband was telling me they were fortunate their budget allowed for them to buy a nicer house here vs. a decent apartment in NYC.

It was kind of eye-opening for me on how drastically more expensive it is to live there lol.

Man, we're about to drive around NC doing escape rooms and Greensboro is just a bit too far off of our route. Maybe I can find another reason to detour..

New Grand Mart. Both locations have a Noodle and Friends inside that sells pretty solid Korean (their mabo dofu is unfortunate tho). I would argue that since 88 Garden is gone (RIP), Grand Mart is the place to go. I think the Midlothian location specificaly is the best quality wise. These aren't sit down service restaurants. You order at a counter and can eat there or take it to go.

Havent been to Korean Garden in a while but it was sort of unimpressive to me. The owners were friendly as far as I remember, but just couldn't believe they were open right next to 88 Garden because it just didn't compete. The store that they have at the back of the restaurant is also somewhat limited, New Grand Mart has a bigger selection of Korean ingredients.

Yewon way out on Hull is also decent but it's a bit overpriced which is why I don't recommend it as much, plus it's a bit of a drive if you are in the city.

You know, I didn't find it to be half as good in Ireland for some reason. But if it's irish style it might still scratch the itch. Thank you!

Yeah I've chatted with one of the employees, they drive to construction sites around the city and blow their cucaracha horn to get the construction workers to line up. When they were near my apartment I was always out of place in my work from home outfit buying tacos at 9:30AM
