Hahaha, can’t believe we’re proposing some of the most complicated solutions. Hop on 64W and set your cruise control to 60MPH. Watch the mile markers and measure the seconds to go exactly 1 mile. Should be 60 seconds

Is that what you would do? No surprise the person who limits their view of this to one of only two options would post this, and farm out the reporting of it to others, because they not quite sure. Maybe the replies are based on the helpful suggestions of people responding, that aren't really helpful.

+1, the speedo inside the Waze app on any recent smartphone with location services/GPS enabled will be at least as accurate as one of those "your speed is" signs. Have used it to 'calibrate' cruise control speeds to actual speeds many times...

Mine is always off by 1mph, but close enough!

I didn't know who he was, and now I wish I could go back to that.

Could it be as simple as your rear window is higher up than your old car’s? It may seem like people behind you are closer when they really aren’t.

What's wrong with Arlington?
I get Tysons corner but Richmond isn't a suburb.

If you use Google Maps, it'll tell you how fast you're going. Get into cruise control and check it out. It's usually off by about 1 mph but should give you a good idea

Just want to point out, it's really hard to swallow the idea that they can (let alone should) close 5 schools (specifically 3 elementary schools) and then blow the cash to rebuild Fox in the middle of a premier upper class neighborhood...

Waze has one built into phone gps. It's dead on accurate.

Rather be a great big city anyway. Nothing fun about being little.

Is there enough room in either Henderson or John Marshall to consolidate it into one 6-12th grade school? I don’t think it should be necessary to close both and increase the student/teacher ratio at other schools in a teacher shortage.

I think of short pump as being more comparable to hunt valley but I don’t have a ton of time in at arundel mills and haven’t lived in Baltimore for a decade

Anecdotally, I’ve noticed many baby strollers in Northside, esp Brookland and Highland Park so in 10-15 years the need might be there again.
