VCU’s clinic for substance use is called the Motivate Clinic, but I’m not sure they have inpatient facilities or just outpatient and can’t find that info on their site, so you may have to call and ask. I know they have a they have a lot of interdisciplinary stuff so you have people to work on the physical and mental health aspects (and even specifically women’s health) if that’s something you need. Im 95% sure they accept Medicaid, unless something changed recently.

I don’t personally know any others but there’s a website called FindTreatment.gov that’s for finding other facilities near you, specifically for substance abuse and mental health services. I can’t remember if they had a filter for in vs out patient but it may give you options of some places and hopefully their individual websites can provide you more info on insurance and treatment options.

Good luck, hope this helps!

I know I’m in the minority but I have been to ZZQ 4 times and it’s mediocre at best. No smoke flavor at all. And who uses a vinegar sauce in a Texas style restaurant? Or that sticky sweet rib sauce? Or the flavorless burnt ends? i can go on, but it’s the most overrated joint in VA. Oh, and the owners are less that cordial.

Better options:

Smohk which is like a block or two away. Buz N Ned’s. King’s (it’s in the wrong direction from the request but it’s solid). The Pig and Steak in Madison Allman’s in Fredericksburg Ronnie’s in Varina Hill Country in DC—can be inconstant but when it’s on, it’s great.

I’m told Redemption BBQ is great, but I’m not paying $28 a pound for pulled pork or chicken.

Wrong on both accounts. Throttling has been proven time and again despite their claims they don't do it anymore (they openly admitted to it in the past) and they took their data cap national last year, VA was previously unaffected. It's capped at 1 Tb/month unless you pay another $35/m for unlimited now. Just because your usage isn't enough to notice either doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Simply the case that in bigger cities with HCOL, adults in general tend to rent longer, because they HAVE to.

In small, (cheap) sleepy southern town about 10 years ago, where the 21 y/o cop and nurse were the “power couple”, two young adults could buy a house immediately after they got married with no down payment on a USDA loan, and seller paid closing costs.

No renting necessary.

Young proposes a version of this every once in a while and my bet is that he simply aims to drive a broader conversation that speaks to efficiencies. He likes to ruffle feathers. Closing (all) those 5 schools, specifically, isn't going to happen, but having the discussion could still be helpful in other ways. Me, I'm not a fan of closing schools for several reasons...And certainly someone other than Young himself would need to study which if any schools would even be up for discussion.
