My favorite 6-7 mile loop starts at Forest Hill Park and then takes the Reedy Creek trail to Belle Isle and then loop back around! Has a nice mix of gravel, trail and pavement! And then if you want more mileage you can take the pedestrian bridge across Belle to browns island.

Enjoy exploring! One of my favorite cities to run in.

While not great for the consumer, it isn't nearly as big of a surcharge as their other recent rate hikes.

>If the State Corporation Commission approves, the surcharge would boost a benchmark 1,000 kilowatt-hour a month bill, which now costs $137, by $4.64.

Having the SCC reduce their allowed profit margin or base rate would do far more for our bills than pulling out of the RGGI.

Historically I believe we have gotten more money for flood prevention, etc. than we put in due to being able to sell unneeded credits but that may not have held up for every year.

Have you been visiting more breweries? I do not have celiac disease but it is in my family so I do have an intolerance to grain that I first noticed when drinking from the wonderful breweries around town and as I have gotten older it has expanded to some of the more processed generic bread brands. I am fine getting bread from local bakeries

This is lame and we should prevent utilities from passing through costs like these. But the other intent of RGGI is to fund programs like flood resilience, weatherization, and energy efficiency. All kinds of data out there showing the return on investment is (generally) much higher than the cost. That said yes fuck Dominion.

Don't spread misinformation. Richmond municipal water quality is quite high.

https://rva.gov/public-utilities/news/water-quality-report-now-available#:~:text=We%20are%20proud%20to%20report,more%20than%2016%2C000%20water%20samples.

And FYI, drinking out of plastic containers means you're exposed to all kinds of chemicals that leech into the water from the plastic and aren't required to be tested by anybody.

I grew up on well water and have never had an issue since moving to places with municipal water supplies 20+ years ago. And I don't think that's generally a symptom of ingesting fluoride unless in very large quantities.

We have been experiencing nova flight for many years before the pandemic accelerated it. It's doesn't have to be the hardcore. It could be as simple as a voting base large enough to vote for an outsider proposing mistakes Richmond made before.

Richmond is riddled with the legacy of racism. Part of the city get ignored while others are playgrounds for county folk... Because the county people contribute more to the city's tax base. This leads to placating county interests instead of helping the city and the ones who need it.

I also am truly saddened that you experienced the ignorance of racism in the suburbs here. We have our ignorant too. Looking at you Chesterfield....

You do realize you aren’t getting the hardcore type As right? They are staying in northern VA. I think it’s a self selecting, lower-earning crowd looking for a more laid back lifestyle coming. I don’t think I know better regarding Richmond, I’m just sharing my experiences. I’d love to know your perspective on the economics and social aspects of Richmond and what has failed here before.
