I would be careful how I describe this. It sounds like 1) he was never inside your abode and 2) you knocked him out as he was fleeing.

Sometimes criminals actually sue over this and even win. And there is a decent chance he won't be prosecuted...so there goes that part of your legal defense if he does sue.

That being said, play up how you were frightened and how fight or flight rage took over when you retell this to authorities.

And honestly, you did what all of wish we could have done. Just be careful.

I purchased one at Kroger on W Broad besides Sams Club for about $12 on Friday and ordered one from Pearls Bakery for almost $50 and they had a few left in the case when I was there an hour ago

Congrats! As soon as you get over the shock, get to work scrubbing “she wants it so I guess I’m having a child” out of your mindset. Not judging here, it just isn’t helpful and you don’t want that to blossom into full-blown resentment when things get tough.

I called this almost exactly a year ago on a thread about RVA restaurant graveyard locations. But I predicted they’d only stay open for 6 months, so congrats to them for staying open almost a full year.

Congrats! Not many people feel "ready" as the little one doesn't come with an instruction manual, but you guys will figure it out. There will be plenty of trying times, but that little smile and giggle will make it all worth it!!!
