I’ve lived in RVA since I was a kid, went to VCU, met my boyfriend in 2019, he took me to what he referred to as a “cute hole in the wall I’m sure you’ve never heard of”. When we rolled up to Joes Inn my eyes rolled to the back of my head lol. We still go every year on our anniversary though, and I still tease him for thinking it’s a hole in the wall.

Yes it was an inconvenience, especially considering if it was supposedly for my, as a pedestrian, benefit. I previously watched someone walk with the crosswalk thru the dicks running the light and thankfully they were unharmed but one of the cyclists tripped themselves up and crashed avoiding them. It does neither any benefit to do lawless things like this

It's not me against people having fun. It's more about people obeying the current laws and not using this as a guise that it's somehow going to change drivers actions or laws for pedestrian and bicyclists protections.

There are legitimate ways to get things changed if that's really what the point is

I was in a somewhat similar situation a few years back. Was pretty sure I didn’t even want kids, and had never even held a baby until I held my daughter for the first time.

I was fucking terrified, and therapy didn’t help. All the fear and anxiety disappeared the first time I held my little girl, and she wrapped her tiny hand around my finger.

Her mom and I didn’t end up getting together, but we worked through the issues we had, and we work very well together. She and I are both now married. Her husband is a great stepdad, and my wife is an amazing stepmom, as well as mom to our two boys.

I was on a pretty self destructive path before she showed up. Now, I’m still a far ways from perfect, but I honestly believe that my daughter saved my life.

Feel free to dm me if you want to talk further.
