Chiocca's. Worst part is that it has got you all convinced it's actually decent food. Anyone who likes Chiocca's definitely boils their chicken and adds only salt. Worst sandwiches I've ever had.

I’d recommend Mom Friends (also RVA specific) over RVA Moms. I’ve seen some insane arguments and mom shaming on that group, and I almost never see that on Mom Friends.

You get a completely different environment if you drive a few miles in any direction here. Going 30 minutes east of Richmond will give you a totally different landscape than 30 minutes west of it.

Heard a Wawa executive interviewed on the radio. He said they made a conscious decision not to install automatic door openers just so the customers would have this little courteous interaction with each other. If you stand near a Wawa entrance you'll hear people saying "thank you" to each other hundreds of times per hour.

Not tomorrow. Now. Get on lists. Be prepared to have to travel out of your way for care until your preferred/close daycare has a spot for yours at their appropriate age. This is not something to sleep on. I’ve had two kids in daycare, pre and post pandemic and both times it’s been a PITA for care.
That said, congrats, being a dad is awesome.

I used to go the short pump one a decent amount since I lived out there and was definitely disappointed by the carytown one. Same with mellow mushroom.

Not only do we have it all - beaches, mountains, cities, country, etc. you can pretty much get to any of those things in about 3-5 hours from anywhere in the state.

Actual legislative action? Like this year’s SB1293 or any of the previous iterations that have died in the past? The legislative action is there, but people like you bitching and moaning about it make sure that politicians are voting against those measures. Maybe put your money where your mouth is and learn about (or even support) the legislation you claim we need.
