Just about any retention pond in the area will have them. The one by the old Circuit City HQ used to have a big snapper that liked to sun itself on the road, there were a few occasions where I had to pick that big thing up and move it so it wouldn't end up a speed bump. It's been years, but I hope it's still doing OK...

...side note, if you don't know how to handle snapping turtles, don't pick them up, they have an incredibly long range and will bite you...

When I worked with a view of this viaduct, you'd see a dozen or more trains a day (during work hours), but like others have said they don't run on a published timetable. I also think coal train traffic has declined significantly in the last couple of years, that was the bulk of the traffic ferrying huge coal trains from west virginia mines to the CSX coal docks in Hampton Roads, but there should still be plenty of other traffic.

For things like this, I like to go with the old saying "It's best to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it". While I have caught some folks doing stupid things like running red lights on the front cam, thankfully I have not needed it for evidence in an accident from those idiots running red lights, and hope I never do...

someone who is not interested in children does not download 5000+ photos and 600+ videos 🤢 I’m not sure how the forensic psychologist came to their conclusion but i’d love to hear more. Plenty of people experience childhood SA unfortunately but they do not take to looking at child pornography in adulthood. Trying to play it like the two are connected in this case is disgusting.

JRPS & FHP. I've seen 'em in the Forest Hill Park lake, on the Dogwood Dell trails, & Belle Isle among other places.

Here's one crossing the trail at Belle Isle near the shelter by first break rapids

It's also just barely their time of year to be out and about. Might still be bruminating. (the photo is from mid September)

I have the Rexing V1P, and have been very happy with it. I specifically sought one out that had a front and rear camera so I could at least catch anyone who might rearend me, but so far only catch people "digging for gold" while at stop lights. I also got the power supply that plugs into the fuse box and hid the wires, but that was a pita, and if you're not good with that kind of stuff, you may want to have one installed at Best Buy or some other local car audio shop. What led me to finally get one was when someone decided to make a U turn from the side of an exit ramp into the car I only had for a month, you're not allowed to do that and at least they made it easy for the cop when they admitted that they did that...

I love the location and cost of living. I particularly love Richmond as a city. But being able to drive up to NYC on a Friday for a little weekend getaway is amazing. And the drive is a breeze. Wake up and drive to DC for Breakfast, Philly for Lunch, and NYC for Dinner.

Yeah, co-sign this. My wife and I thought we wanted multiple kids. We got a really great, sweet little dude and we both kind of looked at each other and said, “I’m good with just him.”

Got my vasectomy about 10 months after he was born. Was in and out in like an hour and fifteen minutes, with just a few days of tenderness after. Can’t put a price on the peace of mind it offers.
