I'm sure they are eventually going to expand Fresh again, but anything being announced this week isn't going to be a Fresh store.

I've shopped at an Amazon Fresh store, and they aren't that good. The Amazon Go convenience store concept is excellent, but the full grocery store isn't. Especially since it isn't just "walk right out" as they say. You still have to have your phone scanned out of the store by an Amazon employee at the exit before the exit gate will open. Add extremely high prices to that, and after shopping at one once, I have no desire to really go back to one.

Hopefully the expansion pause will let them figure out what they need to do to make it work.

Not a sir. Cops lie and there is always someone who says “but actually these cops don’t lie!” when they do. Doesn’t mean a thing, not because I think all cops are bad but because they routinely lie and routinely deny any wrongdoing even when they have lied and/or broken the law.

I never said they were. I'm also not the person who created a special username just for this and then complained wrongly I about being banned by an automod.

The sentencing guidelines in child porn are bad. Pick someone other than Maher and I will still say they are bad, under the same username.

Not sure how rules changed in the prior administration, but we were able to fly direct from the US into Cuba, but had to have an approved reason with the State Dept. We went for "educational" purposes, and were told there had not been a check on any of those declarations in 20+ years. And tons of Canadians there!

Well, it's been demonstrated over and over again that the best way to reduce crime is to reduce poverty. Social programs for violence intervention, better education, etc have all been better correlated to long term crime reduction than increased policing. As I mentioned, these things are outside the purview of RPD. IMO, police are better equipped to solve crimes than directly prevent it, so there should be a greater emphasis on that (and coincidentally less blame for failing to prevent it than what OP has given them). If the police demonstrated an actual ability to solve crimes and make people's lives better through that over some of the tactics we've seen in the past (there are good reasons these communities avoid involving police), you'd certainly see more cooperation and better relations between these communities and police in general.

ironically, I'm somewhat glad it burned. Fox was in one of the worst shapes of any RPS school, but there was no way it would ever get any money for renovation because it's the "rich school". It's basically a shell, they have to fix everything there. The only issue will be if they don't provide enough space and bring back the trailers which I could totally see RPS mishandling.

But better a school that will handle another 100 years than a disposable school of the sort they've built lately
