I've had the same discussion with my neighbors who all feel a 25% increase is insane (let alone 80%). If you were listing your home for sale, would it be below or even at assessed value? I'd be curious to know OP and your thoughts. Because as pissed as I am about the county Fing me, I still would not sell at the assessed rate. In fact it would probably be more like 1.10 or 1.15% higher..

It's possible OP bought the house in 2022. The house was assessed at say 150k in that neighborhood, OP bought it in 2022 for 235k and now taxes reflect the price OP paid for it.

I spent a day in Estonia on a day trip from Helsinki. That ferry ride was party time..all the Finn's ride to Estonia to buy booze at much cheaper prices. Literal shopping carts of booze. The city, not the Squirrels, owns the Diamond. They Squirrels can leave any time they want. VCU also uses that dump. Hopefully we can get both of them a new stadium. A Double-A stadium isn't much bigger than what a college team needs.
