A new ball park should pay for itself several times over. Every ticket, beer, soda, hotdog, candy, luxury suite, merch, event at the park are taxed. The businesses around the ball park get busy before the games. Last game I went to, we couldn't get into Fat Dragon or Boulevard Burgers. A nice new park would be an even bigger draw. The alternative would be losing the Squirrels, tearing down the Diamond, some corporation buys the space and builds a Target there.

I believe state law says that the assessment should be the estimate of the full market value of a property. https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/58.1-3201/

So yea, the counties/cities are required to re-assess as the market values change.

They could lower the tax rate to compensate, but they do have to re-assess.

Went back to Perlys, its sooooo solid. New try there were the pierogis and those were delicious. Not a lot of pierogis around here to my knowledge & ive missed them

Tried Joeys hot dogs in short pump. They were just ok & the sides we ordered were busted. Would not return of my own volition

Lalos Cocina is pretty fancy texmex but it tastes great so its good. Just not all that much food compared to the lavishly full plates ive had at other texmex spots

Was excited to check out Black Lodge in scotts! Drinks were cheap & the atmosphere is a ton of fun, esp bc weve been watching Twin Peaks, but the service was so slow i actually had to flag the waiter down twice to order food & get the check. Maybe understaffed but not great. Also paid $12 for a (pretty good) patty melt but it didnt come w fries??? We had to order fries separate??? Who the HELL is just ordering a sandwich by itself. Wouldnt return here at all, despite the cool atmosphere & decent food/drinks. Just so much went wrong

Happy Friday. The 4th generation of our family arrived at 4:55am this morning after 24 hours of labor. 1st great grandchild which makes me a great aunt. Now I have to live up to that expectation.

The landlord is to maintain fit premises per the Virginia Residential and Landlord Tenant Act and property maintenance codes. If AC is provided, Landlord is to maintain it in good and safe working order.

If your building is in Richmond, call 646-6398 and file a complaint with the Property Maintenance/Code Enforcement Div.

Not really, but with a caveat. I did a lot of pricing research on the respective "gray markets" of both areas before I started growing my own. DC is the easiest market to get decent bulk pricing without having to look too hard. Richmond, for that sort of pricing, you need an in at one of the more established gray markets here. It can be tough to score an in for obvious reasons.

Alex Murdaugh is guilty AF.

Alex Murdaugh might just get away with executing his wife and son.

I’ve been obsessively following this saga since 2021 and yesterday he surprised everyone by taking the stand. His performance was flawless. Anyone who says otherwise is either trolling or blessed with the IQ of a sea cucumber. We’re watching a masterclass in how to take the sting out of your opponent’s arguments by admitting every horrific thing you’re accused of except for murder.
