I don't install any of their software on my pc. Zoom, slack, discord, vscode, visual studio. All stuff I had anyways. Also no vpn. All company stuff is online in the cloud. Office 365, SharePoint online, github, Azure, aws, etc. Shoot even some of our ide environmets are online now via browsers.
And all the dev environments are docker containers.
My salary is 50% higher than my previous salary so im quite happy.

Sacramento is about 90 miles from SF. Maybe people that were doing that commute regularly or semi-regularly that are now FT remote, so they are bugging out before somebody asks them to start commuting?

I’m intrigued by the Sacramento to Richmond pipeline. They rest make sense in their own ways.

My favorite story from RIC: I stopped by the Chilis to kill an hour and have some food before a flight to Denver. I ordered some tacos, and asked the clearly bored bartender for some hot sauce. She hands over what I discovered to be a bottle of bitters after liberally shaking it on my food. Free drink with food, apparently!

It's fine. Plenty of space. Not like times past where it was super packed. I only saw one terribly behaved dog that barked at folks.

You're likely just encouraging your cat to behave worse. Or take a nap lol depending on the personality. Positive reinforcement is the way.
Also how have you gone this long without an automatic feeder?

I take my kids to the breweries but they just sit a the table and play tablet or phone while I talk with the wife. Been doing this since 2011. While I only goto a select favorite few (Midnight, Tabol, Crazy Rooster, and Garden Grove) those places are fine. Helps that my kids know all the owners and they know me. Keeps my kids dumbassery in check.
The worst is Hardyewood West Creek. Those west end/short pump Todd's and Karen's (yes, I know my flair) get piss drunk while their kids run around the forest like little shits. There is even a fight club ring in the back (it's really gaga ball). I've seen way to many stumbling parents to realize it's a shitshow. It's fine when the weather is cold but watch out...it's getting warmer.

That mixed with being over worked. Henrico is going through the same thing right now.

I'm debating about taking the dog to the expo. I'm worried it will be packed and lots of dumbasses that can't lease their dogs properly.

It was going to be the base for the Capitol Police and some other agencies post-renovation, but now there’s some fighting over which agencies will actually get to live there since the Youngkin admin inherited the project lol.

True. After landing in Richmond it always takes long to get to the gate though and it's not because it's busy.

US customs is on base at the airport, meaning chartered or private flights can come in internationally. It's in the master plan to build the airport to support international 121 flights in the next few years too.

Twitch Streaming! Might even do some community jackbox.
Been doing near nonstop video editing, only with breaks to enjoy the weather. It will be nice to do a stream day since the outside will be gross.

$3.5M is a drop in the bucket. Throwing the baby out with the bath water to lose the team over it. ::shrug::

Commenting because I had this happen recently, but AA sent me an email and a text as soon as my plane got to the gate, telling me my bag wasn't going to arrive with me. In the end it did arrive in my flight, which makes it funnier, but I don't know if it's just for international flights that this alert system is in place. If it's for every flight, I don't see how one would be waiting for their bag while it's not there. Also, no complaints about RIC really. It's pretty nice. Long taxiing after landing, maybe?

The good news from last year is in the near future, it'll be international again. It was originally covered under the Customs branch based in Atlantia (or one of those other deep southern states around there) but was moved to be under the jurisdiction run out of Baltimore. As part of that move, they announced that they would be improving and building new infrastructure for Customs Control to meet the standards that were put in place after 9/11, as what is currently there is inadequate hence the reason we don't have international flights scheduled in and out of the airport unless it's an indirect that passes through an airport that has these facilities. I'm not sure of the timeline, but when it happens it should help open up the market some, and be a boost for airport business...
