2nd and Charles has both an anime section and gaming section (video and board). They have 2 locations, one on broad street (closest to you) and one in midlothian (nice to go see their selection too occassionally).

They are a chain where you can buy and sell used items too!

As someone who has been more inconvenienced by drivers moving large loads than I ever have by cyclists, maybe consider that you’re the bigger pain in the butt. However, does that give me the right to nearly kill you? Should I give a fuck about other people almost killing you or should I encourage them with “both sides” bullshit?

Did you itemize your deductions this year? VA requires you to take the state standard deduction if you took the federal standard deduction, but the state standard deduction is very small. If you itemized this year, that might have increased your deductions by $10k+ over the standard deduction and led to a higher refund.

I've never had baggage lost at RIC but I worked at the Hudson News location in that airport for a while and spent quite a few 'lunch' breaks eating Fritos Honey BBQ Twists from the vending machine way down past all of the baggage claims. Sometimes with a Starbucks mocha energy drink, depending on the time of day and how many quarters I had in my pocket. The office where they deal with baggage issues is very small and sometimes, when lots of lost bags are being dealt with at once, they spill out of the office and the employees place stanchions around the pile of suitcases to corral them 'in'.

Honestly, RIC is a lovely local airport. Parking is cheap/efficient, and it’s pretty easy to fly in/out of. I don’t love that they don’t have a ton of convenient direct options, but that’s a personal issue.

Also as another user pointed out, there’s no food or retail after a certain point which can be frustrating when arriving or departing late at night.

I will toss on the hate for Botanya along w/the person above. I ordered an irish coffee from their dessert menu. Came in a teeny tiny coffee cup/not made in the traditional way. Could not taste the whiskey and asked our waitress if she served us plain coffee by mistake. Nope. For the $12, I should of just had another glass of wine.

There USED to be a gaming place called The Forge, but that closed during the first part of the Pandemic unfortunately. I've heard of two card places but have never been.

As for anime shops? I know Third Eye Comics (Mechanicsville and Short Pump) and a few other comic shops carry anime and manga related merchandise. There's also apparently a placed called BoxLunch in Bon Air that apparently seems interesting, but I haven't gone down that way yet.
