What part of Highland Park are you seeing this in? Genuinely asking. I’ve encountered what I assumed was some drug activity by Carolina Market but that has gotten very quiet since August.

Outside six points, I mostly see older folks who appear possibly on drugs but nothing matching your description in terms of operations.

I’ve walked countless times through the area where the shooting occurred and never seen anyone outside except an occasional walker or person waiting for the bus.

NOW, I have seen homes that look like drug houses but again, have not seen drug corner operations like you’ve described. So again, just curious where you see this happening because maybe it’s just not on my radar.

The newest 20v DeWalt brushless drill is the best drill I’ve ever owned. Feels as powerful as one of those big plug-in drills from the 90s, except it’s battery-powered and super compact. Just be careful with the torque setting - the first time I used it the screw head plunged straight through the piece of plywood I was working on even though the torque was only set to 4 or 5…

Yep, in the Chesterfield Towne Center mall there's a store named Box Lunch that sells a bunch of anime/disney/harry potter related merch, mostly clothes. I can't remember if they have figures for sale. No arcade machines afaik. (It's a small store)

On that same note, in that same mall, Barnes & Noble, Hot Topic, & Spencer's apparently also have a bunch of anime merch now. (Not sure how old your child is or what you want them around, but Spencer's is more geared towards late teens & adults. E.g. The back wall has sex toys & lingerie iirc.)

Consider working up a separate post for the Saves Act and the other bill if you have the time. I'd like to know more about it and I'm sure that some of the folks who follow this sort of thing are looking for good information on how to help.

I have nothing but respect for 911 operators. A thankless job.

Do they ever get to learn the outcome of medical calls touch them or does that end up being private info?

Sleep schedules change so much. Our baby at 10 months was getting up at 5:30-6, and by 13 months they sleep until 8am or so. (It's 7:45am right now and sound asleep.) Then transitioning to one nap will be like... One day the first nap will end up being 2+ hours long and they'll want to skip the second nap. Then you push that first nap back later in the day. The transition is messy and they'll probably bounce back and forth between 2 and 1 naps for a little while, which can make planning your day difficult.
