Like seriously I can’t go to a movie with my kid? That’s insane

Today I continue my ongoing video editing project, a voice acted Night in the Woods playthru. There are 12 days to edit, and each day has usually 2 parts. I'm nearly finished 8.

Day 6 live premiers this Wednesday at 11pm EST on YouTube. Doing each part as a live release every Wednesday at that time

Again, that's hyperbolic. But it really is so much different. People are so much more hostile and so much less comfortable. Spaces that used to be full of people ready to socialize are now half as populated and everyone is scared of eachother.

Ended up doing an "all ages" established community night so some younger family far away could participate in the jackbox safely, but then just played some drum and bass with cool visualizations.

I cant help but see art from times past when a social life wasn't something you get if you're insanely lucky, and get super super super depressed and like actually want to kill myself. I thought once I became an adult I'd have this big wide world open full of people to talk to and places to go. Now I'm living on my own in the real world and its nothing but empty sidewalks and tapping your phone to buy cigarettes.

I was friends with the family who owned it growing up. The Chef lost his battle with cancer maybe 10+ years ago, his wife was the head hostess, and they got a lot of help from their two kids at the time who may no longer be in the picture due to moving on with life. Not sure what ended up happening with the head Chef situation to be honest, it’s been a long time.

Its so terrible. Im 20 yrs old now but jesus christ there is nowhere. Maybe thats hyperbolic. I go to group rides, parties, etc etc. But the social landscape people my age are facing is sooooooo much more barren than the one our parents were afforded. No wonder we all joke about wanting to kill ourselves. Everywhere we could find community or some kind of spontaneous connection has been churned up into ash and rubel.

Solid choice. I’d go for the smorgasbord over just the charcuterie but that’s me. Definitely getting the Steak Frites.

Going to vote! Husband and I just collecting I Voted stickers like they're Pokemon this year. Depending on the outcome of this one we might have one last special election to go before the normal GA primaries in June. If practice makes perfect, we're gonna be the best election-doers anywhere.
