I haven’t had a cheesesteak at either of these places, I got one at Gus’ and it was so unbelievably good

That's what I thought at first too until I realized I'd rather go to a matinee than be out "late." The old is kicking in hard.

I would understand kids not being able to go in alone but it seems a bit ridiculous to not let them in with a guardian. I go every week. I don't even have kids and I think it's kind of messed up.

Found out my bike was broke on Thursday when it was 80 degrees or whatever and I tried to go for a ride. It’s still in the shop while it’s nice outside today. All the mountains biking trails are closed because of yesterday.
Pretty depressing weekend ngl.

Oh you mean the richmond police department that launched tear gas into a peaceful protest 20 minutes before those protestors were told they had to disperse? That richmond police department?

My first thought was sure, can't go by themselves without an adult. Then realized it doesn't mention guardianship at all. What's the legality or reasoning behind this?

So... all minors are heathen little punks that shouldn't have the opportunity to go partake in a totally sober, age appropriate activity... because it's annoying for adults? And then they'll wonder why kids start partying and engaging in nefarious activities. Just let em go to the movies.

There's like a 1-2% vacancy rate in the city right now. Get what you can get, there's not exactly options.

Chez Max is a shell of its former self. The guy who bought it is a complete muppet and the chef is trash.
They serve “rockfish” year round now but it’s actually Tilapia.
It’s supported solely by septuagenarians with no taste buds.

My gf and I were celebrating an anniversary and we couldn’t decide between classyy or slutty carby food.
We went to the boathouse and got a cocktail and some oysters and checked out the view and otherwise got completely ignored for over an hour while sitting at the bar
And then realized there are no rules and went to Bacchus for pasta and duck and beer and wine.
It was great aside from the exceptionally shitty service at Boathouse
Edit- also there was that post here about bacchus hiring underage dishwashers and putting different liquor in different bottles and that’s fucked but we had a great time there.

realistically speaking though, if the folks who consistently patronize the theater have bedbugs, what can the theater do? i'm a mechanical engineer, not a businessperson or investor or financially savvy in any way (nor do i know how to make business decisions)... what i want to ask without a thousand people jumping down my throat is: is this just the cost of doing business in richmond?
