I'm really into birds now because of the Merlin app so I open the window and do a bit of bird watching every morning with my coffee. This is supposed to be a free hobby because money is tight but I've already bought some bird seed. I see a few birdhouses in my backyards future. Are there any truly free hobbies?

I’m sorry for your loss. I imagine having to sort through this whole grieving your father is incredibly challenging. I agree with many of the posts here about burial benefits. It all depends on your father’s discharge status at the time of retirement. Here are some resources to get start, there are some local and some national. I would start by looking through some of the articles and links first to get an understanding of what is possibly available to you and your family: https://veteransnavigator.org/taxonomy/menu-zones/veteran-burial-benefits

Again, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sitting here with my father (also retired veteran) on hospice and will have to sort through this in the next couple of months. If you can find your father’s DD214 forms, that would be very helpful because those are his discharge forms.

Sending you peace and healing.

Starting July 1 you’ll have to be registered and licensed to sell products (don’t get your hopes up that any licenses will be given to anyone except maybe existing dispensaries who will make products in house). The current Governor has made clear his priority is further criminalizing hemp derived Delta products.

The Governor sent down amendments this week to this bill so details are still being worked out.

Basically, don’t get your hopes up about running a legitimate business that sells cannabis or hemp products that are intended to be intoxicating.

If you do want to move forward go hire a real lawyer who deals with this type of law first. Absolutely don’t listen to advice online.

Yeah that’s why I’m focusing now. I have my llc and business license. I’m working with getting a certified kitchen to use. I am a servsafe manager too. I could technically get my home certified as a safe kitchen but I have a cat so I don’t think they’d let me.

My understanding is that currently edibles in store need to be 3% thc by dry weight. Meaning it’s usually made from hemp flower that is super concentrated and extracted.

There is a bill going around and currently in the amendment process that will destroy all of this. The Republicans really just want their donors at Columbia care and Altria to be the only ones allowed to produce cannabis products. If it passes all of this goes away and the only option will be low level mids from a dispensary. So I’d avoid getting too into this until 2025
