Agreed on the grocery store folks. But can we just be nice to everyone who shows up for work when we are all understaffed? I get yelled at daily for the most trivial stuff. We’re trying to help you so maybe be just a touch patient. Thank you!

Any idea whether buying tickets for these events is a charitable gift eligible to be used as a tax deduction? I wouldn't think so, but thought it wouldn't hurt to find out.
Edit: answer is, "it's complicated." https://www.tcfhr.org/is-the-cost-of-event-tickets-tax-deductible/#:~:text=As%20a%20general%20rule%2C%20if,of%20tangible%20value%20in%20return.

I would find hand made cards from S23 and write a heart-felt thank you. If your clients are agencies, they are getting baskets galore. yours will just be another gift that goes into the break room to get claimed.

For my first couple of Thanksgivings in RVA I was by myself and didn't have anywhere to go either. I went to a couple of homeless shelters and ate with the good people down there. It was good company and some of my fondest memories. Hope you are able to find some good company whatever you do.

Calculating how to get around since car is at the dealer. Just glad I already have my turkey and fixings, so we are good on that.

a lot of times the person making it will have a prompt. theres no requirement to stay on prompt, people just chat. its made by whoever gets there first.

We are completely sold out this year, but if you are doing this earlier next year, we have advent calendars of Richmond goods (mostly food/beverage items): https://discoverrichmondtours.com/discover-richmond-gift-boxes/
I think Gifted RVA also does gift boxes.

I'm new to RVA and the "dailys" posts. Do we usually use them just to chat about our week with each other?

Thanks for posting this! We’re new to the area and are looking for things to do. We’re from a relatively small town in FL and aren’t used to all of the choices. Lol We love it here.

yup, exactly. That's why all the "chains are taking over" is very silly. We need both for health.

I'd suggest Belle Isle moonshine in place of the Resevoir whiskey. Pretty sure all of their bottles and even the variety pack are in budget.
