20 years ago I was at my lowest point. Newly divorced and suffering from chronic physical pain, I saw no way out.

It was very late on a Sunday night and I found the number for a local 24-hour suicide hotline in the RVA phone book. Not that I was about to do something, but I was alone and needed to hear someone tell me life was worth living.

I called the number and told the person who answered what was going on, and how I was struggling. After a pause he told me "Hey, I'm sitting in for the person who normally answers this line. I'm not sure what to say. Could you call back tomorrow morning after 9am?"

Ladies and gentlemen of RVA... that's when I decided that this world is too absurd NOT to keep going. I didn't call back on Monday, but instead worked on myself, got healthy, and am a happily married father of 2.

I hope you aren't alone on Thanksgiving, but if you are I hope you find a way make the best of it and realize this is just a stage in your life. A hard one, but you will get through it.

The minute the interned him it was no longer a monument but a mausoleum. So different rules apply, also why it took so long to get him moved. They want to make sure they are doing it legally.

My guess is the water intrusion has made soup. Good luck syphoning him out Richmond. If we wait long enough he might be frozen. Civil War Pop.

And turn your damn brights off when 1. A car approaches in the opposite lane 2. You’re behind another car at night. And 3. Don’t tailgate on two lane roads. What are you trying to accomplish? You’re obviously not really in a hurry if you won’t even pass when your opportunity comes. Go around or get off my ass.

I have always had a great experience at Target Willow Lawn with Dr. Gates. He has a "separate" office door to the left of the main entrance, he is not actually in the store. I had one not so great experience at Grove Eye Care, but that was three years ago and I never went back after that, maybe someone who is a long term patient there has a better perspective.

Working on Friday so I'll be watching from home. I've heard Gus's is a good spot. You can take your chances at Penny Lane but I imagine you'll be outnumber by English fans there.

https://ellicedarien.com/ Richmond based skincare that's fantastic. As a bonus, the owner is a great person.

For something a bit more spot on you could always do a RVA sticker or something cool from the science museum, vmfa, Poe museum is pretty unique.

The Nile sells their berbere spice blend. I know I'd be thrilled if that came in a basket of goodies.

Ukrops baked goods.
