Lots of cell phones support two SIM chips. If yours is one, go buy a second chip and run both numbers at once.

I’m still rocking my 919 area code, but I wouldn’t mind having an 804 as well. I’ve tried a Google number, but I want something that is seamlessly integrated. Anybody have a suggestion on a cheap way to have an 804 number without ditching my 919 one?

Just make sure you live somewhere between the Museum District and Churc Hill, and make sure you don't have kids.

From experience, as soon as you go north of the interstate (still within Richmond-proper, mind you) things become dramatically less walkable and more auto dependent, and the bus network is sparser. It's still an easy bike ride---for an adult---but don't expect your kids to make that ride with you.

TBH when I first moved to Richmond, I thought the 804 number was goofy AF because I associated it with the toll free number of 800. But I’ve gotten used to it now and it’s so easy to say.

I second what this person said, I’m in a Facebook group (I think it’s called ladies of rva) and there’s always women 30-40s meeting up and hanging! I would choose richmond over Charlottesville
