If they're here and you don't have plans for Christmas Eve, there's usually a wonderful concert at the Abby Aldrich museum at CW with a gentleman who plays the hammer dulcimer. It's usually around 4 or 5 pm and gets out in time for the firing of the canons.

Kinda old but Putt-Putt is still a good option as it offers both indoor/outdoor activities in a fenced-in area. We did my sons 7th birthday here. If you want a fancier option do Top Golf and get on the lower right level where they have the putting greens. It’s a bit pricey but not insane.

It's only the market now, before covid they had a restaurant across the side street. It closed down and had some massive renovations, I've seen people in it for more than just cooking, so it's gotta open again at some point.

That bridge is what sold me on moving to RVA. Visited a friend in the bottom and walked the canal up to Belle Isle. 12 years later (well over half my adult life), and still loving it.
