Wife started taking down fall decor. Christmas may be put up by the weekend.

I looked at my PTO and found out that I have 7.5 days I need to take off this next month. So...just about every weekend in December is a 4 or 5 day weekend!

Hiring line cooks at 18$ an hour, so pretty average if you're looking for someone who's more than just a pair of hands. I'm unsure about other positions, though.

Edit: I forgot! One of their perks is inclusive health insurance. I haven't put eyes on the whole plan, but it's supposed to just be part of your employment and no cut from your check. I haven't seen it in action, so we have to wait and see.

This is really sad, especially because the girl is so young, her family is taken away from her for the rest of her life because of an evil man. Also even crazier that he drove all the way there planning to kill them? Did he really think he wouldn’t be caught? Now ruining a kids life because he’s some creep. This is just awful.

and your answer represents a very small minded view of the world. 400 years is nothing. no countries hands are clean. surviving is hard and the ones who do didn't do it nicely. what matters is that we learned from our mistakes and are better because of it. things we do everyday today might be considered horrific and barbaric crimes in 100 years. I certainty won't judge you for it. just learn from it.

Good luck. There's very few people worth a shit in that industry in this area and the few solid people I know of that I'd recommend retired in the last two years.

You're going to be better off going to Lowe's or Home Depot than dealing with any of the bigger local cabinet companies. The local companies all make the bulk of their money on tract homes and most don't want to work with retail customers.

There was a place like this when I lived in Pittsburgh called Latitude 360. Went there for a work event a couple months after it opened. It was completely and overwhelmingly meh. It’s like the worst parts of a bowling alley mashed up with a bad Chuck E. Cheese with the worst corporate restaurant chain you can think of. It was sold after 18 months and the new owners couldn’t make it work either and that closed after another 18 months way before the pandemic. It tried to be a lot of things and did none of them well, so there was no reason to go there. It was too child-like for adults and at the same time too grownup for kids. I don’t think management was in the restaurant business, so they couldn’t get the staff to buy in to the “soul” of the place, and they therefore didn’t make the experience feel special to customers. (I think TopGolf actually does a decent job at this). I hope the RVA place is different, of course, but we’ll see.

Right?! It’s not like I’m going to display those suckers in my house because frankly I’m a terrible runner. At least when they’re on a tree I can be like “did you see the super cute ornament next to the marathon medal?” in the event someone asks about my time.
